Jesus promises an EXTRAORDINARY kind of PEACE.

“All this I have spoken while still with you. But the Counselor,

the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in my name, will

teach you all things and will remind you of everything I have

said to you. Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. I do

not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be

troubled and do not be afraid.”   John 14:25-27

25我還與你們同住的時候、已將這些話對你們說了。 26但保惠師、就是父因我的名所要差來的聖靈、他要將一切的事、指教你們、並且要叫你們想起我對你們所說的一切話。 27我留下平安給你們、我將我的平安賜給你們．我所賜的、不像世人所賜的．你們心裡不要憂愁、也不要膽怯。  約翰福音 14:25-27

The PROMISE: Until Jesus returns—the very SPIRITof

God BREATHES PEACE within us.

應許：直到耶穌再來，神的 靈 將 平安　 吹入我們里面。

I. The direction of Jesus’ peace is novel.

耶穌平安的方向是新穎的。

God’s encouragement does not come from outer circumstances—in.

God places His Encourager WITHIN.

神的鼓勵並非來自外在環境。

上帝把祂的鼓勵者置于我們自身。

II. The dynamic power of Jesus’ peace is novel.

耶穌和平的動力是新穎的。

In unthinkable difficulty God’s Spirit breathes

UNTOUCHABLE PEACE.

Why do few Christians experience that?

為什麼很少基督徒经历这些？

Answer: Few have learned to “KEEP IN STEP with the Spirit.”

Since we live by the Spirit, let us keep in step with the Spirit.

Galatians 5:25

How to Walk in the Spirit

如何行在聖靈中

1. CLAIM IT: as a follower of Christ, I CAN

walk in step with His Spirit.

獲取：作為基督的跟隨者，我可以与 祂的靈同步而行。

So I say, live by the Spirit, and you will not gratify the desires

of the sinful nature. Galatians 5:16

16我說、你們當順著聖靈而行、就不放縱肉體的情慾了。

2. CLEAR THE WAY for it: I choose to remove the

spiritual debris that would block the Spirit’s work in me.

為他清除道路：我選擇除去

會阻止聖靈在我身上作工的属靈废墟。

And do not grieve the Holy Spirit of God…. Ephesians 4:30

不要叫　神的聖靈擔憂... 以弗所書 4:30

Do not put out the Spirit’s fire. 1 Thessalonians 5:19

For the sinful nature desires what is contrary to the Spirit,

and the Spirit what is contrary to the sinful nature. They are in

conflict with each other, so that you do not do what you want.

Galatians 5:17

17因為情慾和聖靈相爭、聖靈和情慾相爭．這兩個是彼此相敵、使你們不能作所願意作的。加拉太書 5:17

Note: God’s Spirit is eager to minister within me, but

ONGOING SIN BLOCKS His ministering.

注：上帝的靈渴望在我里面运行，但

未斷絕的罪阻礙祂的运行。

When you follow the desires of your sinful nature, the results

are very clear: sexual immorality, impurity, lustful pleasures,

idolatry, sorcery, hostility, quarreling, jealousy, outbursts

of anger, selfish ambition, dissension, division, envy,

drunkenness, wild parties, and other sins like these…

Galatians 5:19-21

19情慾的事、都是顯而易見的．就如姦淫、污穢、邪蕩、 20拜偶像、邪術、仇恨、爭競、忌恨、惱怒、結黨、紛爭、異端、 21嫉妒、醉酒、荒宴等類、... 加拉太書 5:19-21

But the fruit of the Spirit is: love, joy, peace, patience,

kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and selfcontrol.

Against such things there is no law.  Galatians 5:22,23

22聖靈所結的果子、就是仁愛、喜樂、和平、忍耐、恩慈、良善、信實、 23溫柔、節制．這樣的事、沒有律法禁止。

加拉太書 5:22,23

When my outer circumstances are restless…

God’s Spirit can BREATH JOY peace,

PATIENCE, and faithfulness within me.

當我的外在環境动荡不安时...

忍耐，和信實。

1. In what difficulty or discouragement could you use

the encouragement of the Comforter, who “comes

alongside?” You can pray about that matter right

now, asking God to help you experience peace (a

fruit of the Holy Spirit) from His Spirit within, rather

than from circumstances without.

2. We learned that we can unintentionally choke the

work of the Spirit in our lives—through sin and

self-reliance. Was that idea new to you? Are there

any areas of spiritual debris in your life that may

presently be blocking the comfort God desires to

give you through His Spirit?

circumstances. It comes from the Holy Spirit, who

some change in outer circumstances?

4. Now that you know where true peace comes from, how
